Evening Update: Quiet and cool tonight. Gusty winds tomorrow afternoon.

Compared to the political climate of the nation, things have been pretty quiet weather wise for the DC area. Another uneventful night before a cold front moves through tomorrow afternoon. I am going to guess you will feel the frontal passage, as winds from the northwest become quite blustery with frequent gusts over 20 mph.

Through Tonight: Mostly clear for much of the overnight period. Another seasonably cool night.  Some outlying areas will fall into the upper 30’s, but most of us will stay in the 40-45 degree range. Clouds will start to build from the west as we approach sunrise. Light west/southwest wind at 5 mph.

Hold onto your hat tomorrow afternoon! Strong winds at 2pm.

Friday: Clouds will build through the morning as a cold front approaches the region. The frontal boundary should clear the area by early afternoon. Not expecting much in the way of precipitation, but it will certainly become quite windy and cooler tomorrow afternoon. High temps will reach the low 60s, peaking in the early afternoon before falling off later in the day. Winds will become quite gusty out of the northwest at 15-20 mph. Higher gusts are likely at times.
