Low level clouds were locked today, keeping us a bit cooler than forecast. Despite the low cloud deck, area temperatures recovered to near normal levels, with College Park reaching 60 degrees this afternoon.
Through Tonight: We will stay mostly cloudy until around midnight when we should start to see the clouds gradually break up from west to east. A slight wind shift from the south-east to the south should help to reduce low level moisture content, thereby leading to clearing skies by the morning. Remaining mild tonight with lows ranging from 52-56 degrees.
Wednesday: With a southerly wind and clear skies, we should warm up quite nicely on Wednesday. Afternoon temperatures should reach the mid 70s, which will fall short of any record values but will still be some 10 degrees warmer than average.
