{"id":2334,"date":"2017-03-02T17:47:03","date_gmt":"2017-03-02T22:47:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/weather.umd.edu\/?p=2334"},"modified":"2017-03-02T17:47:03","modified_gmt":"2017-03-02T22:47:03","slug":"evening-update-normal-temperatures-will-continue-end-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/weather.umd.edu\/wordpress\/2017\/03\/02\/evening-update-normal-temperatures-will-continue-end-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Evening Update: Below Normal Temperatures Will Continue Through The End Of The Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After yesterday&#8217;s abnormally warm temperatures and thunderstorms, the end of the work week will feature below-average temperatures with breezy conditions. \u00a0Earlier, we&#8217;ve already began to see this trend as temperatures struggled to reach the 50s with occasional wind gusts of up to 40 mph (reported at Reagan National Airport).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Through Tonight:\u00a0<\/strong>Winds from the northwest will start to subside as we head towards the overnight hours with\u00a0temperatures creeping towards the mid-to-upper 30s. \u00a0Expect mostly clear skies with the exception of a few clouds.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 672px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/trowal.weather.umd.edu\/models\/GFS\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/trowal.weather.umd.edu\/products\/grib2\/GFS\/2017030212\/t2_F024_d02.jpg\" alt=\"Model Image\" width=\"662\" height=\"520\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>2 meter temperatures across the Mid-Atlantic region 7 AM Friday morning from the GFS &#8211; Source &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/trowal.weather.umd.edu\">UMD TROWAL<\/a><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Tomorrow (Friday):\u00a0<\/strong>Once again, the end of the work and school week will feature conditions similar to Thursday. \u00a0Therefore, we will have below-average temperatures in the mid-40s. Winds will bluster out of the northwest between 20-25 mph with gusts up to the mid-30s. Don&#8217;t be surprised if you see some snow flurries throughout the day.
