Evening Update: Rain and Storms to Start the Week

Today was a beautiful Autumn day with temperatures topping out in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees under mostly sunny skies. There has been a light wind out of the east around 5 mph.

Tonight:
Clouds will increase overnight and rain is likely after midnight. There will be an east wind at 5-10 mph. Temperatures will only drop into the upper 40s. Rainfall amounts will be around 0.25 inches or less overnight.

Tomorrow (Monday):
Rain will continue tomorrow, especially in the morning. The chance for rain drops from 80% in the morning to 50% in the afternoon. Rainfall amounts will be in the 0.25-0.50 inch range. There will be a northeast wind at 5-10 mph. Temperatures will reach the upper 50s.

Tomorrow Night:
The clouds stick around tomorrow night as temperatures stay steady in the mid 50s. Some rain showers are possible after midnight as a warm front lifts north.

A Look Ahead:
Election Day Tuesday will feature very warm temperatures in the low 70s. There is a chance for severe thunderstorms Tuesday as well before a cold front moves through. Wednesday and Thursday will feature average temperatures and dry conditions before rain and warmer temperatures Friday. The weekend looks very chilly, featuring the coldest air mass of the season thus far with temperatures likely dropping to near or below freezing by Saturday night.
